Objective: Because the standard thoracoscopic lobectomy in bronchial carcinoma is often criticized for assumed incomplete lymph-node dissection and oncologic radicality, lymphadenectomy (TL) was investigated as one step of a scientific investigation developing method complete resection carcinoma. Design: A cadaver model (n = 13) used to investigate technique radical hilar mediastinal lymphadenectomy. Intervention: TL followed by large anterolateral exploratory thoracotomy evaluate safety radicality TL. Results: The mean (and deviation) number lymph nodes resected 15.6 (4.3). On followup exploration, no residual tissue found at stump or nodes. No other intrathoracic lesions were found. Conclusions: with described tehcnique can be accomplished according current regulations.
