摘要: Lithuania is a relatively small Eastern European country that has undergone substantial changes over the past 20 years. In this chapter, nature of homicide in discussed. This discussion includes review previous work Lithuanian as well more recent (2001–2008) trends. Considering both rates and location quotients it shown there spatial variation homicide. Though little evidence for clustering municipalities with regard to their rates, some when considering quotients, measure specialization. Homicides are most often be committed by young adult males (on male victims) at residence an urban environment. Lastly, explanations Lithuania, Western theories criminal behaviour Lithuania’s transition from command market economy prove instructive.
