摘要: Abstract In this research we propose a physical measure of resource efficiency, based on exergy, which combines energy and material flows in single dimensionless metric, bounded by 0 1. The inclusion materials the efficiency metric makes it possible to compare wide range industrial devices processes, even different sectors, using consistent framework. Resource efficiencies for steel-making processes were computed as an example found from 10.0% sinter plants to72.1% coke ovens. A unified helps identify drivers consumption reveal opportunities reduce carbon emissions.
