Heparin effect on bone density.

摘要: In order to provide estimates of the risks symptomatic osteoporosis and reduced bone density in premenopausal women treated with long-term (greater than 1 month) heparin therapy, we evaluated a cohort 61 consecutive previously (cases) group controls matched for age, parity duration between last pregnancy evaluation. Although none suffered fractures (0 61, 95% confidence intervals 0.0 5.9%), there was significantly greater proportion below our pre-defined levels. The implications findings are uncertain but because it is possible that reduction predisposes fractures, this potential risk should be considered when treating heparin.
