摘要: We assess the accuracy and relevance of numerical algorithms based on principles geometrical optics (GO) physical (PO) in analysis reduced-size homogeneous dielectric lenses prone to behave as open resonators. As a benchmark solution, we use Muller boundary integral equations (MBIEs) discretized with trigonometric Galerkin scheme that has guaranteed fast convergence well controllable accuracy. The lens cross-section is chosen typical for practical applications, namely an extended hemiellipse whose eccentricity satisfies GO focusing condition. concerns made rexolite, fused quartz, silicon size varying between 3 20 wavelengths free space. consider 2D case both - -polarized plane waves under normal oblique incidence, compare characteristics near fields.
