摘要: SUMMARY Introduction: Salvia scutellarioides is a plant with antihypertensive and diuretic properties. In this study, its vasodilator effect evaluated using the isolated organ technique. Objectives: To standardize vascular organ, to study of S. in vasoconstriction by α1 receptors stimulation. Methodology: Rat aortic rings were placed an bath equipment (BIOPAC®), at 37 o C temperature constant carbogen gas bubbling. Tension changes registered isometric tension transducer data acquisition equipment. During standardization, six curves concentration-tension phenylephrine 1, 3 5 hours registered, order determine maximum (T M ), effective concentration 50 (EC ). Finally, three obtained for 10 mg/dl 20 mg/dl. Results: technique no statistically significant differences found T hours. The administration produced dose dependent reduction EC changes. Discussion: implemented viable up hours, does not produce desensibilization. diminution explained non competitive antagonism effect. Studies isolate active principles allowing initiation phase I human clinical trials are required.
