摘要: Background : Angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels from preexisting ones, is among most important physiological and pathological processes that occur in body. Under conditions such as tumor growth, psoriasis, corneal neovascularization rheumatoid arthritis, angiogenesis substantial for development disease. Zataria multiflora a member Labiatae family with vast range traditional uses which has been long known applied Iran old medicine. The aim this study was evaluation anti-angiogenic potential multiflora. Materials Methods: In study, human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) were isolated newborn veins then cultured cytotoxicity (LDH test) assay. Regarding LDH results, following tests (cytodex-3 micro carrier) migration (wound healing) designed. Results: assays showed no toxicity Z.multiflora toward HUVECs 10-450µg/mL extract. This extract also able to inhibit at 200µg/mL. Conclusions: Our data clearly demonstrated an inhibitory effect on HUVECs. could be introduced significant inhibitor angiogenesis-dependent diseases further complementary studies.
