Radiation effects for the Blasius and Sakiadis flows with a convective surface boundary condition

摘要: Abstract This study aims to analyze the effects of thermal radiation on laminar boundary layer about a flat-plate in uniform stream fluid (Blasius flow), and moving plate quiescent ambient (Sakiadis flow) both under convective surface condition. The resulting similarity energy equation is solved numerically variations dimensionless temperature fluid–solid interface characteristics for different values Prandtl number Pr, parameter NR a, which characterizes our convection processes are graphed tabulated. Quite interesting behaviours were encountered Blasius flow compared with Sakiadis flow. A comparison previously published results special case problem shows excellent agreement.
