Stimulation of in vitro root and shoot growth of potato by increasing sucrose concentration in the presence of fluridone, an inhibitor of abscisic acid synthesis

摘要: Fluridone, an inhibitor of abscisic acid (ABA) biosynthesis, strongly stimulated rooting nodal stem segments potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) cultivar Arran Banner cultured in darkness on tuberisation medium. Inclusion 10-6 M ABA the culture medium prevented this response, indicating that root proliferation presence fluridone could be due to inhibition synthesis. The response (increased total number and fresh weight) was obtained only at high sucrose concentrations (0.175 0.234 M) demonstrated with two cultivars media; one which favoured did not. Shoot numbers were also increased, but a lesser extent than numbers, weight plant material per greatly increased by inclusion both (10-6 or 10-5 role not simply osmotic because when osmolarity using mixtures mannitol sucrose, no occurred unless predominated mixture.
