摘要: Abstract Purpose Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines recommend routine human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) screening in health care settings all individuals aged 13–64 years; however, overall testing rates among adolescents still continue to remain low. This study examined factors related the acceptance of HIV an at-risk sample ethnically/racially diverse community adolescents. Methods Adolescents 15–21 (N = 81) years were recruited from community-based youth organizations complete risk assessment surveys. After completion survey, participants offered a free OraQuick rapid antibody test. Results More than half (53.1%) accepted test, with black population being more likely accept as compared Latinos (75% vs. 39%). controlling race/ethnicity, significant predictors test included history sexual intercourse (OR 5.43), having only one partner past 3 months 4.88), not always using condom serious 3.94), during last encounter 4.75). Conclusion Given that many are willing know their status, policies support or low-cost may lead higher case identification youth.
