摘要: In this paper an alternative method to first threshold crossing for acoustic emission (AE) source location is presented. For wave propagation in dispersive media, the accuracy of can be improved by locating corresponding phase points on transducer outputs determine difference arrival times. The point was done cross‐correlating with a single frequency cosine modulated Gaussian pulse. Experiments were performed using lead break as AE surface aluminum plate. Due plate geometry and orientation, produced highly dispersive. Although unsuitable techniques, time differences needed triangulation could determined cross‐correlation technique.
