The effect of sorting on aflatoxin reduction of pistachio nuts

摘要: Quality of dried sorted pistachio nuts could have an important role in the aflatoxin B 1 content final lot. In order to determine this effect different cultivars, samples Fandoghi, Ahmad Aghaei and Kale-Ghoochi lots were divided 7 categories based on physical appearance pistachios which yellowish-brown stain, dark-greyish large, medium, tiny, damaged non-split. The was measured by TLC-Scanner method results showed that average stained Aghaei, cultivars 136.2, 632.4 120.3 ng g -1 , respectively, while contained 28.7, 292.8, 7.3 respectively. amount can be significantly (P<0.05) reduced 94.6%, 97.2% 98.8%, if all removed from lot during sorting. highest detected studied.
