摘要: Investigation of phytoplankton from East China Sea the Pacific Ocean, offshore Reunion Island Indian and French Atlantic coast revealed a species poorly known armored fusiform dinoflagellate. To clarify this species, morphology phylogeny based on mitochondrial nuclear protein gene sequence (Cox1, Cob Hsp90) concatenated with SSU, ITS region LSU rDNA sequences were analysed. Epifluorescence scanning electron microscopy observations that nucleus specimen was elongated, sausage-shaped located equatorially left lateral side cell, plate formula is Po, 3′, 1a, 6″, 6C, 8S, 5‴, 1p, 2′‴. These morphological features indicate can be assigned to Centrodinium punctatum. Interestingly, phylogenetic analyses placed within Alexandrium clade, affine being its closest relative. This indicates genus not monophyletic. The most similar traits between C. punctatum shape apical pore arrangement sulcal plates. However, since there are significant differences further studies needed relation molecular other Centrodinium-related species.
