摘要: We analyzed the performance of a selective enrichment broth combined with Taqman-based real-time duplex nuc-mecA-PCR to expedite screening methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). found be able select MRSA strains (oxacillin MIC range 4-256 microg/ml) from MSSA strains. A total 31 were 1250 clinical samples screened. The was positive all broths containing MRSA. From remaining 1219 negative for on culture/subculture, 138 nuc+/mecA+ in PCR. sensitivity test 93.5%, specificity 88.6%, predictive value 17.3%, and 99.8% as compared culture. Thus, this method, results can reliably reported within 24-48 h sampling. method is practical additional alternative those already described same purpose.
