摘要: Comparison of the evolution normal summer monsoon 2003 with unanticipated drought 2002 led to this investigation role deep convection in atmosphere (deep cloud systems) over equatorial Indian Ocean. We find that link events Ocean is as important well-known dramatic Pacific (El Nino Southern Oscillation; ENSO). Over Ocean, enhancement western part generally associated suppression eastern and vice versa. call oscillation between these two states, which reflected pressure gradients wind along equator, Equatorial Oscillation (EQUINOO). show every season excess rainfall/drought during 1979-2002 can be 'explained' terms favourable/unfavourable phase either or ENSO both. In particular, while was unfavourable but weak, EQUINOO highly a large deficit occurred rainfall.
