摘要: Abstract The purpose of this study was to characterize maternal immune cells in colostrum mares. Cell phenotypes and cytokine secretion from mare peripheral blood mononuclear (PBMC) were analyzed by flow cytometry multiplex analysis. Equine colostral leukocytes composed mainly CD8 + CD4 lymphocytes. significantly enriched compared PBMC ( n  = 35). Colostral T-cells  = 13) responded stimulation with PMA/ionomycin a higher magnitude IL-17 p  = 0.037) similar IFN-γ concentrations  = 0.305), while IL-4  = 0.0002) IL-10 production decreased PBMC. produced  = 4). findings show that can produce all four cytokines investigated here but most are polarized toward an inflammatory phenotype. Maternal likely migrate the selective manner may have specific roles neonatal development.
