摘要: Objectives:  The objective of this study was to compare and correlate biofilm levels in complete upper lower prosthesis after brushing, associated with specific paste soap, by means computerised methodology. Materials methods:  Forty-five denture wearers were selected instructed brush their prostheses (Soft Oral B 40) three times a day for 3 weeks water (Control), dentures (Corega Brite) (Experiment 1) neutral soap 2). based on cross-over model wash-out period not included. For quantification, the internal surfaces dyed (neutral red 1%), photographed (Canon EOS Digital) disclosed measured Image Tool 2.0 software. products assessed questionnaire regarding hygiene properties acceptance. Results:  variance analysis indicated that exhibited mean percentage, significantly higher than brushing more effective 2) and, turn, (Control). There high correlation (Pearson correlation) between both prostheses. Both well accepted patients, but most favoured one paste. Conclusions:  This controlling can be used preventatively maintenance oral health dentures. is important where harbour microorganisms which may act as reservoir other areas mouth thus enhance importance proper hygiene.
