摘要: Background:  Soft denture lining-materials are more susceptible to microbial adhesion than hard base acrylic resin. Poor oral hygiene and Candida albicans infection common among elderly wearers as these patients usually have difficulty in keeping them clean. Purpose:  To evaluate the influence of methods on formation a biofilm over soft denture-lining material. Material methods:  Twenty volunteers were randomly separated into two groups: G1 G2. Ten performed daily prostheses with toothbrush toothpaste. The G2 treatment identical but also immersed sodium hypochlorite 0.5% for 20 min, once week. Quantification mean score values at different times statistically analysed using analysis variance Tukey’s test (α = 0.05). Results:  (0.65 ± 0.52) showed lowest formation. There was statistical difference between highest found 6 weeks (1.3 ± 1.08) from other times. Conclusion:  had significant effect material.
