摘要: Resonance (or anomalous) X-ray scattering of partially ordered macromolecular structures, amorphous materials and solutions is encountered in the near edge region absorption edges where resonant real part f' atomic form factors shows strongest dispersion. The requirements spectral brilliance can only be met by synchrotron radiation emitted from high energy electron (positron) storage rings. yields three basic functions. This compares to contrast variation neutron scattering. relations isomorphous replacement methods crystallography are discussed. analysis functions terms a multipole expansion provides promising strategy, once possibilities fully exploited so as allow for required precision measurements.
