摘要: Background: The emergence of multi-drug resistant microorganisms presents a critical problem for patients undergoing surgery. Acidic pH, which is produced by oxidized regenerated cellulose (ORC), broad-spectrum physiological detriment to survival known cause surgical infections. purpose this study was examine the antimicrobial effect ORC against antibiotic-resistant organisms. Methods: products were challenged with ATCC reference strains and clinical isolates methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), epidermidis (MRSE), vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus (VRE), penicillin-resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae (PRSP), non-resistant S.
