Intraoral One-Stage Curved Osteotomy for the Prominent Mandibular Angle: A Clinical Study of 407 Cases

摘要: Many Oriental people have a square face with prominent mandibular angle. This article presents good osteotomy method for the angle (PMA). Two modifications of conventional procedures been made. The first is one-stage curved second nonresection masseter muscle. surgical procedure has performed using an intraoral approach direct field vision. From October 1996 to December 2002, total 407 patients PMA underwent surgery this satisfactory results. was only 248 patients. In addition, 29 received concurrent zygomatic reduction osteotomy, 38 genioplasty, 41 had chin augmentation excised bone fragment, 2 submental liposuction, and 39 buccal fat pad resection. described very simple fewer complications treatment PMA.
