摘要: We investigated prevalence and risk factors associated with physical abuse among a tricultural population of 501 pregnant women who attended public prenatal clinic. Twenty percent (98/501) reported being physically abused; 29% (28/98) stated that occurred during pregnancy. More white non-Hispanic previous than did black or Hispanic women. Battered more frequently were divorced separated, greater parity, smoked, used alcohol, admitted to illicit drug use not battered. An increased was observed alcohol (odds ratios = 3.0 6.0) drugs 2.1 3.7) but Odds 4.7 for cocaine women, marijuana 5.8 tobacco observed. This is the first study report effects race on association between substance use.
