摘要: Germ cell tumors (GCTs) are benign or malignant neoplasms, presumably derived from pluripotent primordial germ cells. During the development of embryo, cells migrate yolk sac endoderm usually to genital ridge in retroperitoneum, where gonads develop (Patton 1953). Aberrant migration, however, can also occur, and GCTs arise extragonadal sites, mostly anterior mediastinum (Gonzalez-Crussi 1982). Histologically same subtypes exist regardless whether located elsewhere. There is a difference incidence malignancy, which relatively low among ovarian very high testicular (TGCTs) (Talerman 1985).
