摘要: Serotonin receptors are G-protein-coupled (GPCRs) involved in a variety of psychiatric disorders. G-proteins, heterotrimeric complexes that couple to multiple receptors, activated when their receptor is bound by the appropriate ligand. Activation triggers cascade further signalling events ultimately result cell function changes. Each several known G-protein types can activate pathways. Interestingly, since G-proteins same serotonin type, activation induction different To reach better understanding role, interactions and expression literature search was performed order list all combinations complexes. Public databases were analysed collect transcript protein data relating neural tissues. Only very small number G-protein-receptor out possible thousands suggested analysis have been examined experimentally. In addition this has mostly obtained using insect, hamster, rat and, lesser extent, human lines. Besides highlighting which not explored, our findings suggest additional should be based on analysis.
