摘要: Many coli bacteria, and especially the invasive ones, are surrounded by an extracellular layer, capsule. The electronmicroscopic appearance of a capsule is shown in Figure 1. It easy to imagine that capsules protect bacteria inadvertent surroundings. They render resistant complement lysis phagocytosis are, therefore, considered as virulence factors.
