摘要: Objectives The purpose of this study was to quantify the echocardiographic abnormalities in probands who were newly diagnosed with arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia (ARVD). Background diagnosis ARVD remains challenging. Multidisciplinary Study Right Ventricular Dysplasia initiated characterize cardiac structural, clinical, and genetic aspects ARVD. Methods Detailed echocardiograms performed 29 compared echoes from normal control patients matched for age, gender, body size, year echo. atrial (RA) (RV) chamber dimensions, RV regional function, presence morphologic (hyper-reflective moderator band, trabecular derangement, sacculations) assessed. systolic function calculated as fractional area change (FAC). Results dimensions significantly increased, FAC decreased versus (27.2 ± 16 mm vs. 41.0 7.1 mm, p = 0.0003). outflow tract (RVOT) most commonly enlarged dimension (37.9 6.6 mm) (26.2 4.9 30 occurred 89% 14% controls. present many (trabecular derangement 54%, hyper-reflective band 34% sacculations 17%) but not Conclusions Probands have significant RA enlargement which can be easily assessed on standard imaging. These parameters should measured when is suspected values.
