摘要: Catecholamines in large doses are known to produce cardiac hypertrophy (1,2,3) as well myopathic changes (2,4). The necrotic lesions observed have been compared those seen ischemic heart disease (5). Several factors including intracellular calcium overload and exhaustion of high energy phosphates (6), free radical production (7) an increase cAMP levels (8) proposed explain this catecholamine-induced necrosis; however, the exact mechanisms involved condition far from clear. There is strong evidence that many tissues lysosomes play important role turnover tissue proteins other macromolecules (9,10,11). Alterations lysosomal enzymes reported certain types cardiomyopathy (12,13,14) ischemia (15,16) where hydrolytic degradation subcellular components by has implicated pathogenesis cell injury. It generally believed isoproterenol-induced rats forms a good model for studying myocardial under stressful conditions. In report, therefore, we examined alterations some enzyme activities rat myocardium within 24 hours catecholamine injection order test if such associated with development cardiomyopathy.
