摘要: So ubiquitous is water on this planet that our view of chemistry, by custom and convenience, strongly biased in favour aqueous solutions. What then are we to make other solvents where the strongest acid may be least ionised, a respectable like CH3CO2H behaves as base, an anion base achieves stabilisation only bonding molecule its conjugate acid? Examination acids bases non-aqueous cannot fail enlightening.
