摘要: The associations between variants of human papillomavirus (HPV) 16 and risk cervical neoplasia have been reported, but nucleotide variations HPV in Asian populations their association with not evaluated extensively. During 1991-1992, 11,923 women from seven townships Taiwan were enrolled. DNA cells was detected genotyped using EasyChip blot. Nucleotide the long control region (LCR), E6, E7 genes determined sequencing for 170 16-positive samples. variant most prevalent (81.8%) Taiwan, also associated increased prevalence histologically confirmed intraepithelial grade 3 or worse, showing an age-adjusted odds ratio (exact confidence limits) 10.70 (1.62-451.05; P = 0.0049) compared to European variant. Similar significant worse observed distinct substitutions, including T178A/G, A647G, A7730C/G, T7781C, G7842A, C24T/G. These results demonstrate that non-European (non-E) 16, predominantly variants, are severe neoplasia, variants. Molecular mechanisms accounting varied among different warrant further investigation.
