摘要: Aims : A preliminary comparison of a prototype breath-hold magnetic resonance cholangio-pancreatography (MRCP) technique for non-invasive imaging the pancreatic and biliary ducts with endoscopic retrograde (ERCP). Method Twenty ERCP MRCP examinations were performed in 19 patients referred routine suspected or abnormalities. The employed modified heavily T2-weighted thick slice RARE sequence that allowed up to three images be obtained 16 second breath-hold. reported independently findings compared. Results accurately discriminated between without obstruction ( n = 12) those 8) correctly diagnosed cause (three choledocholithiasis, five malignant stricture). In 12 concordant eight. remaining four provided more information than corresponding study, diagnosing pseudocyst one patient visualizing entire duct whom this was not possible at ERCP. Conclusions These results suggest may allow selection obstructive lesions require therapeutic intervention, have potential reduce need diagnostic examinations.
