摘要: Abstract Compelling evidence suggests the limitation and shortcomings of current well established cell culture method using multi-well plates, flasks Petri dishes. These are particularly important when functions sensitive to local microenvironment, cell–cell cell–extracellular matrix interactions. There is a clear need for advanced systems which mimic in vivo more physiological conditions. This review summarises analyses recent progress three dimensional (3D) with perfusion as next generation tools, while excluding engineered tissue where scaffold has be used structural support overcoming mass transfer control. Apart from research activities academic community, product development industry also included this review.
