摘要: Reproduction in field populations of the five species and 13 14 subspecies native Australian Rattus is compared, using both materials personally collected museum specimens. We have separated each into juvenile adult categories, dividing point reflecting approximate size at which sexual maturity reached. Occurrence pregnancies juveniles, treated monthly, permit estimates time length seasonal breeding for subspecies. Information on gonads accessory sex glands given non-breeding adults juveniles. All a fundamentally similar mechanism reproduction. Those attaining high densities highest ovulation rates, largest litter sizes, greatest number teats. Furthermore, two reproductive potential we evidence, females can be precocious under conditions.
