摘要: Abstract Background The progression of atherosclerosis leads to increased arterial stiffness. present study used brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity (baPWv) evaluate the connection between stiffness in patients with chest pain and presence extent coronary artery disease (CAD). Methods on a retrospective basis, we analyzed data 703 consecutive who had undergone baPWv an elective angiogram for suspected CAD, June 2010 July 2012, at single cardiovascular center. Results baPWV was one statistically meaningful predictors significant CAD (diameter stenosis > 50%) addition diabetes dyslipidemia multivariate analysis. When classified into nonsignificant or (ie, 1-, 2- 3-vessel disease), there difference groups, but no among 3 groups. Linear regression analyses showed that significantly associated SYNTAX (SYNergy percutaneous intervention TAXus cardiac surgery) score. cutoff value 1735 cm/s sensitivity 55.6%, specificity 62.4%, area under receiver operating characteristic curve 0.612 predicting CAD. Conclusions Arterial as determined by is independently angina. related severity assessed As result,
