Divorce: obstacles and opportunities – South Asian women in Britain

摘要: As divorce rates appear to rise amongst South Asian communities in Britain the repercussions for their members remain invisible and neglected research literature. The paper argues that this oversight needs be addressed as it explores findings from two separate studies highlight some of possible ramifications on women. experiences presented here show whilst can have most devastating effects women terms exclusion, also presents opportunities optimism future. Furthermore, divorced not only bring positive change own lives, but process, transform cultures which they live.
