摘要: Abstract A fragment of Trypanosoma cruzi ribosomal intergenic spacer (IGS) located at 6.7 kb from the 3′ end 24S rRNA gene was analyzed. This IGS is characterized by presence three types repetitive elements (designated Spacer Repetitive Elements, SRE), short direct repeats (5-6 bp) and chi-like recombinational sequences. SRE are composed relatively (43–145 which show variabilities consisting nucleotide changes, insertions deletions. SRE-1 element (145 has a oligo(dA) tail repeat can be found flanked other elements. species-specific, suggesting that probes based on them may diagnostic for .
