摘要: As the worldwide popularity of Internet gambling increases, concerns about potential for gambling-related harm also increase. This paper reports results a study examining actual behavior during 10 years play. We examined electronic records subscribers (N=2,066) who triggered responsible gaming alert system at large international online company. compared these cases with control had same amount exposure to service provider. used discriminant function analysis explore what aspects distinguish from controls. Indices intensity activity (e.g., total number bets made, per betting day) best distinguished controls, particularly in case live-action sports betting. Control group players evidenced similar population using this service. These add our understanding behavioral markers disordered and will aid development behavior-based algorithms capable predicting presence and/or onset gambling.
