摘要: OBJECTIVE: To present our experience in operated meningioma cases regarding their prevalence, anatomical location, multiplicity, presenting signs and symptoms, the possible correlation between MRI signal intensity histological grades to set criteria for radio-pathological diagnosis. METHODS: In this retrospective study, 120 Department of Neurosurgery, Jordan University Hospital (JUH), Amman, January 1997 2007 were reviewed. Our study included 90 cases, medical records, histopathological reports, neuroimages analyzed thoroughly. RESULTS: Meningioma was more common females than males with a ratio 2.2:1. Para-sagittal meningiomas most (23.3%). Multiple intracranial found 4.4% cases. Most benign histopathology exhibited iso-intense signals on T1 T2, appeared hyper-intense FLAIR vivid enhancement. CONCLUSION: The prevalence among genders its location at JUH corresponds published literature worldwide. There no intensities (as seen T1WI, T2WI, sequences), enhancement pattern one side, other side.
