摘要: The paper describes a system for automated detection of incipient faults in induction machines. has been based on the Motor Current Signature Analysis method (MCSA) and aimed to be applied thermal electric power plant south Brazil. First, mechanism fault evolution is introduced clarified regarding most common motor faults: stator winding short-circuits, broken cracked rotor bars eccentricity faults. influence load condition indicator discussed practical cases, obtained through simulations using prototype. main theoretical conceptual aspects developed are presented, including signal acquisition conditioning as well database which stores signals acquired over time period. Some results from use shown illustrate capabilities.
