摘要: To improve the oxidation resistance of carbon/carbon (C/C) composites, mullite coating was prepared on surface SiC-coated C/C composites by supersonic plasma spraying. Phases and microstructures were characterized X-ray diffraction (XRD) scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The primarily consists a single phase (3Al2O3−2SiO2). SEM results show that continuous well bonded with SiC inner layer without penetrating crack. Mullite exhibited good resistance. After 98.5 h at 1773 K 9 thermal shock cycles between room temperature, weight loss coated only 2.57%.
