摘要: Objectives To determine the incremental risk of diagnosis clinically insignificant prostate cancer with serial biopsies. Methods We reviewed our institutional radical prostatectomy (RP) database comprising 2411 consecutive patients undergoing RP. then stratified by biopsy on which their was diagnosed and correlated number disease adverse pathology at prostatectomy. Results A total 1867 (77.4%), 281 (11.9%), 175 (7.3%) underwent 1, 2, 3 or more biopsies, respectively, before Increasing biopsies associated increasing volume ( P Conclusions Patients multiple RP are likely to harbor than those who only undergo 1 resection. Nonetheless, in remains significant. The increased overdiagnosis overtreatment must be balanced continued significant when counseling regarding
