Experimental Determination of Symmetry of Second Valence-Band Maxima in PbTe

摘要: We report the first experimental determination of orientation main axes constant-energy ellipsoids secondary valence-band extrema PbTe. These are generally believed to be located at $\ensuremath{\Sigma}$ point Brillouin zone. Investigation anisotropic behavior coefficient conductivity warm holes shows that these parallel $〈100〉$ and do not coincide with symmetry direction point.
