摘要: Xanthomonas campestris pv. vesicatoria (Xcv) causes bacterial spot disease in pepper and tomato. The avirulence genes avrBs3 has been isolated from Xcv race 1 confers resistance a gene-for-gene manner to plants carrying the dominant gene Bs3. constitutively expresses 122 kDa protein, internal portion of which consists 17.5 copies nearly identical repetitive motif. avrBs3-2 was cloned by DNA homology avrBs3. In contrast avrBs3, activity on AvrBs3-2 protein is 97% AvrBs3. difference specificity most likely due different order repeats Avr-protein. Interestingly, C-terminal deletion derivatives are still active
