摘要: Background and Objective The risk of hepatitis E virus (HEV) to blood safety remains unknown in England. Reports persistent HEV infection with serious disease sequelae indicate that transfusion transmitted is not a trivial immunosuppressed patients. Materials Methods Samples from unselected donors history jaundice were tested for antibody RNA. Results Overall, 10% the donor sera anti-HEV IgG reactive. Four samples IgM reactive but RNA negative. Conclusion There evidence probable recent infections predicted attack rate 2·8%.
