摘要: In the past decade, use of genetically engineered rats has increased exponentially; therefore, ability to perform embryo transfer (ET) in rederive, reanimate, or create mutant rat lines is increasingly important. However, successful generation pseudopregnant female for ET represents a limiting factor. We here evaluated subcutaneous administration 40 μg luteinizing hormone releasing agonist (LHRHa) estrus synchronization during development and implementation program. Our first experiment assessed endogenous cycling patterns by examining vaginal cytology without LHRHa 5-wk-old peripubertal Sprague-Dawley rats. These then received at approximately 7 wk age; 57% were synchronized proestrus as 96 h later. second experiment, 8-wk-old virgin, unmanipulated LHRHa; 55% Copulatory plugs confirmed 28% 82% that had been experiments, respectively, mated with vasectomized male Embryo surgery was performed, live pups born from both fresh cryopreserved transgenic embryos. results indicate followed examination later an effective technique generate multiple recipient
