摘要: Objective—To compare the effects of propofol and sevoflurane on urethral pressure profile in female dogs. Animals—10 healthy Procedure—Urethral profilometry was performed awake dogs, during anesthesia with at 1.5, 2.0, 3.0% end-tidal concentration, infusion rates 0.4, 0.8, 1.2 mg/kg/min. A consistent plane maintained for each anesthetic protocol. Maximum pressure, maximum closure functional length, area were measured. Results—Mean dogs not significantly different than that anesthetized all or 1.5 2.0% concentration. Functional higher concentration lower other protocols. Individual differences magnitude pressures observed. Conclusions Clinical Relevance—Sevoflurane is an alternative to undergoing profilometry. Use these anesthetics appropriate administration should reliably distinguish normal from abnormal areas. Titration depth a critical component urodynamic testing. (Am J Vet Res 2003;64:1288–1292)
