Comparative effects of xylazine and propofol on the urethral pressure profile of healthy dogs.

摘要: The effects of 2 drugs, xylazine and propofol, on the urethral pressure profile were compared. Seven female dogs sedated by administration one drug, then other, variables measured. In with mean +/- SD, maximal closure (51 7.4 cm H2O) was significantly (P < 0.05) higher than value when (23.3 7.6 H2O). Results compared those obtained various authors, in particular for nonsedated dogs. It is concluded that propofol a good drug investigation profile, whatever its effect pressure.
