摘要: Background: Serum and tissue concentrations of tumor markers or some metabolites are considered to be helpful in diagnosis follow-up the central nervous system (CNS) disease. However, currently available not sufficiently sensitive specific used as actual diagnostic tools. Differentiation between malignant benign lesions CNS is very important, both for determining optimum therapeutic approach predict morbidity mortality Accurate a disease mostly performed through surgical resection histopathologic evaluation. Methods: investigated concentration malondialdehyde (MDA) serum patients with glial tumor. have studied 30 malign (grades III IV astrocytoma), low grade tumor, 28 healthy individuals, 10 nontumorous (lobectomy epilepsy). Results: Patients tumors showed higher MDA compared control groups (epilepsy subjects). These had lobectomy from epilepsy patients. were also group group.
