Experimental investigation of thixoforging process on microstructure and mechanical properties of the centrifugal pump flange

摘要: In this paper, a thixoforging method is studied as one of the semi-solid forming processes. At first step, influence temperature, holding time, and ram speed hydraulic press are investigated on microstructure mechanical properties thixoforged A356 aluminum alloy parts. For purpose, slope plate casted billets heated up to temperature 580, 590, 600°C time 5, 10, 15 minutes then deformed using with speeds 1, 3 5 mm/s. Results show that best related specimen finest which at 600°C, Afterwards, T6 heat treatment performed improve parts produced by process. final step experiments in order investigate effect prior reheating properties, forging done gravity billet.
