Effect of heat treatment on microstructure and tensile properties of A356 alloys

摘要: Two heat treatments of A356 alloys with combined addition rare earth and strontium were conducted. T6 treatment is a long time (solution at 535 °C for 4 h + aging 150 15 h). The other short 550 2 170 effects on microstructure tensile properties the Al-7%Si-0.3%Mg investigated by optical microscopy, scanning electronic microscopy tension test. It found that solution sufficient to make homogenization saturation magnesium silicon in α(Al) phase, spheroid eutectic Si phase. Followed solution, artificial almost enough produce hardening precipitates. Those samples treated achieve maximum strength fracture elongation. With (ST), can reach 90% yield strength, 95% 80%
