Rational harmonic active and passive modelocking in a figure-of-eight fibre laser

摘要: Rational harmonic active and passive modelocking is demonstrated in a figure-of-eight fibre laser for the first time. Optical pulses at repetition rates up to 19th of RF modulation frequency were generated by rationally detuning frequency. An output pulse train with rate 11.08 GHz duration 7.1 ps has been achieved. The was nearly transform-limited.
